As Vivienne strolled through the heart of Cortina, she was captivated by the scene around her.
The streets were alive with an aura of elegance and timeless style, from visitors sporting fur coats to conversations tinged with multiple Italian accents and foreign languages. Her mind was instantly transported to another vibrant historic moment and place in Italy, Via Veneto, Rome in the 1960s, a street synonymous with glamour, allure, and the kind of social vitality immortalised in Fellini’s La Dolce Vita.
Vivienne found herself drawn to revisit Fellini’s masterpiece. It wasn’t just a film; it was an exploration of life’s seductive dance, an ode to a generation of aristocrats, intellectuals, and bon vivants who embraced life with elegance and intrigue.
To Vivienne, Cortina, with its magnetic crowd and snowy luxury, felt like a mountain reflection of that celebrated time on Via Veneto.
